Benefit set for Addison Stamp

Friends and relatives of Addison Stamp are planning a major fund raising benefit in July at the Belle Plaine Country Club.

Addison is the two-year-old daughter of Josh and Jessica Stamp. She was diagnosed with a disease which can cause tumors to crop anywhere in her body at any time. A benign tumor on her optic nerve caused her to lose vision in her right eye. She continues to have weekly chemotherapy treatments in Iowa City and will need to have yearly MRIs the rest of her life.

The fundraiser will be a combination golf outing, bake sale, live auction, silent auction and lunch and dinner on Sunday, July 26.

For more information, contact Jason or Bee Kaplan at 444-2016 or 350-1143.

The winners of two raffles that are currently underway will be determined on that day. One of the prizes is a bottom mount freezer refrigerator, valued at $2,600, donated by Amana Refrigeration. Tickets are $10 each. It is now on display at True Value Hardware in Belle Plaine until June 26. It will then be on display at the Belle Plaine Pharmacy until the day of the drawing.

A quilt, donated by Robin McCammant, is also being raffled. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. It is on display at Belle Plaine Pharmacy until June 26 and will then be on display in Victor until the day of the drawing.

Tickets for the quilt are available at the pharmacy and at MidWestOne Bank. Refrigerator raffle tickets are available at the pharmacy, the bank and True Value.

For more information on the raffles, contact Bee Kaplan, 444-2016 or Sue McConnell, 350-1210.
