Belle Plaine is once again heading to Solon for first round district baseball next month. The Plainsmen will face the host tenth-rated Spartans on Saturday, July 11, at approximately 7 p.m., following another first round game between Iowa City Regina and Iowa Valley.

The winners of those two games will meet in the second round on Tuesday, July 14 at 7 p.m. at Solon, where the district finals will also be played on Saturday, July 18.

The other four teams in the district are eighth-rated Mid Prairie, Louisa-Muscatine, Columbus Community and West Liberty.
Mid Prairie will host the substate game on Tuesday, July 21 at 7 p.m. The Class 2A state tournament will be held at Principal Park in Des Moines, July 27-Aug. 1.
