Everett James Jansen, 79, died Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the Vinton Lutheran Home following a sudden illness. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday at the Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine by Rev. James Campbell. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Hartwick, with Military Honors. Visitation will be after 9:00 AM Friday at the funeral home.
He is survived by: sisters, Joyce Mumby of Belle Plaine and Lucille Boyer of Tama; and brother, Leonard (Monica) Jansen of Toledo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Rosa Donegan Jansen; sisters, Hazel Edwards, Josephine Flynn, and Judy Hale; and brothers, Franklin, Paul, and Earl.

Rose M. Foley 2/15/1926—1/15/2011
Rose Marie Foley, 84, died Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids from renal failure. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, January 19 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church by Rev. Michael Mescher, Celebrant, and Deacon Joe Behounek. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Hrabak Funeral Home where there will be a Rosary at 6:30 PM.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond; daughters, Theresa (Jerry) Houlihan of Cedar Rapids, Colleen (Roe) McCabe of St. Louis, Mary Jo (Lonnie) Nielsen of Orchard Park, NY; sons, Dennis (Deb), Kevin (Gerri), and Pat (Jill), all of Des Moines and Alan (Cheryl) of Red Bluff, CA; sister, Gerry Campbell of Toledo; brother, Jim (Marge) McGrory of Ladora; also by nineteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established.

Mary Lou Kaufman, 69, died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the Grinnell Regional Medical Center following a lingering illness. Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, January 17 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Chelsea by Deacon Joe Behounek. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 PM Sunday at the church where there will be a Vigil service at 6:30 PM.
She is survived by: daughters, Linda (Paul) Gensley of Victor, Ellen Waterbury (Dave Sherwood) of Chelsea, and Peggy (Dave) Watts of Montezuma; sons, Mark (Sherry) and Curt (Tara), both of Chelsea; also by thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine is in charge of arrangements.

Violet A. Formanek, 94, of Belle Plaine, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Belle Plaine Nursing and Rehab from complications of age. Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 12 at the Hrabak Funeral Home by Deacon Joe Behounek. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Violet was born July 31, 1916, and she was raised in Poweshiek County. She taught country school before becoming a homemaker. Survivors include her daughter Janet (Roger) Prusha of Belle Plaine; grandsons, Steve (Tina) Prusha of Amana, Michael (Connie) Prusha of Iowa City; four great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Rinke of Cedar Rapids; and sisters-in-law, Viola Stanek and June Formanek.
Violet was preceded in death by: her parents; husband Leo; and brother, William Stanek.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
